Psalms of the Evening

The evening twilight reminds God’s people to prayerfully trust in God. The confidence of those who pray these psalms rests in the God of the covenant, the God who has proven trustworthy in the past and so can be trusted now. We have no reason to fear because the God who was with our ancestors is now with us. These evening psalms help us believe that nothing can take away God’s faithful concern for us, that we can depend on God and look to the future with hope.
