The second half of Acts narrates the missionary journeys of Paul and his companions. It takes us with him from Syria, to Asia Minor, Greece, and finally to the capital of the Roman Empire. We read this narrative not as objective observers, but as members of this same evangelizing church. We are invited into these courageous journeys because the adventure continues into the lives of all those who claim to be followers of Jesus Christ. Acts begins in Jerusalem and ends in Rome, but the story is open-ended, for it is lived in the church and its members in every age.
